A little about Robert
I enjoy spending time with my family. We like to see local events together, such as Christmas light viewing. As a hobby, I enjoy board games with my family and watching stand-up comedy. I also like to cook and try out new recipes with my spouse.
I served in the US Army and learned many important lessons I have kept with me since. I have been working as a customer advocate for 14 years and counting to ensure people get a fair shake when it comes to their ability to use their services or navigate complicated matters. I also have worked in legal alongside law enforcement to process different requests to ensure the speedy processing of important documentation.
I was excited to know there was a program dedicated to helping Veterans like myself navigate the complex VA claims process. I have been in the same position as every other Veteran when trying to figure out what to do or where to go. I look forward to meeting many more veterans to help them achieve their goals in every way possible.
I enlisted right out of high school at 18 years old. I served for over two years. I wanted to enlist to do something for my country. I served as a 15H helicopter hydraulics repairman.
I met many good people serving in the Army, and I learned a great deal about perspective. My most inspirational experience is how, when my unit needed to prepare for a brigade-wide project, we worked till late in the night together to ensure every part we had was fixed or processed out to ensure there was no time lost in our helicopters getting off the ground. It was a crazy day from early morning to past midnight.
I have a service-connected disability from a major injury that changed my military career. I had spent years trying to file and navigate the process, and it took many years to receive any rating or support. If I had known of VACI, it would have saved me years of stress.
