A little about Michael
I was born and raised in the UK to an Air Force Family, and after 21 years of age, I joined the United States Air Force. I wanted to follow in my father's footsteps, serve my country, and travel the world! After serving 7 years in the Air Force, working at the National Security Agency (NSA) as a Signals intelligence Analyst, I was discharged honorably.
My favorite aspect of my time in service was learning the importance of teamwork, and steering clear of individual praise/accolades. It taught me a lot about camaraderie, being there for teammates, and never leaving anyone behind.
Being raised in the UK, I am a massive Manchester United fan and follow Formula 1 as a Lewis Hamilton Fan! My favorite British band is the Stone Roses! I also attended Culinary School and specialize in Indian Cuisine!
I have spent a lot of time educating and benefiting Veterans in many ways, I have cooked for homeless Veterans, spent time in retirement facilities, taken elderly Veterans on tours of Washington D.C and raised money for various Veteran oriented charities. Educating Veterans is something that is very important to me, as when I was a new Veteran, I needed and found a lot of education to get prepared for life post-military.
I have 7 years of experience in the Automotive Industry post-military and have met some amazing friends that I consider Family along the way, however when the opportunity arose to join the VA Claims Insider team, I had to take it!
