A little about Gerod
I enjoy spending my free time with my family, friends and dogs. I love being in the mountains fishing, hunting and trail riding. I’m a huge football fan and proud supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
I was on active duty for 21 years and spent exactly 10.5 years enlisted in the US Air Force as an aircraft maintainer and another 10.5 years commissioned in the US Army as a Logistics officer. While on active duty, I earned my master’s degree in Transportation and Logistics Management just before retiring in 2020. My greatest compliment during the time I served was being told that I was a passionate leader that could bring all walks of life together to achieve common goals and make mission!
I am very passionate about helping my fellow brothers and sisters in-arms to live a better life. Aside from my family, there is nothing more important to me at this point in my life than helping other Veterans.
My decision to join the service is one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I reap the benefits of it daily, and it makes me better in everything I do. The core values that I learned and lived while in uniform still serve me well as I educate others that are looking to improve their quality of life, with the benefits that they have earned & deserved!
I am currently rated at 100% for my VA disabilities, but that does not slow me down from wanting to educate others. If anything, it motivates me to hit it hard every day by helping other Veterans live their best life.
