A little about Darrell
Darrell has spent the last 11 years of his career working for the VA in the claims department. He started at the VA as a Veteran Service Representative. After 2 years, he was promoted to Rating Veterans Service Rep. After about 6 years, he was then promoted to the position of Coach on the management team. While on the team, he was in charge of the Public Outreach Team and the Post Development Team. Before working at the VA, Darrell spent 13 years teaching high school history and coaching football , track, wrestling, hockey and soccer.
Darrell spent 4 years in the Marine Corps (Semper Fi)! He then went on to attend Arizona Western College, where he received an Associate degree in Education. Darrell then attended the University of Northern Arizona, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Education. He is continuing his education currently with a Master of Educational Leadership in progress.
Darrell's passion to help veterans stems from his time served and his time of employment at the VA. He had the opportunity to see how broken the system is. VA Claims Insiders has given him the opportunity to help veterans work through the claims process without veterans being JUST a number!
