A little about Michael
I am a family man, married to my beautiful wife and blessed with three great kids. Most people who know me well describe me as the strong silent type. I thrive more in close personal relationships and small groups than I do being the life of the party. I love getting to know new people because everyone has a remarkable story if you take the time to stop and listen.
I'm one of only several hundred licensed Ziglar Choose To Win coaches in the country. I spent eight years in residential real estate and still hold my Texas real estate broker license. Before getting into real estate, I was a nationally registered Radiology License Technologist.
I am passionate about serving people, and I can't think of a more underserved population than veterans. I was out of the service for over eight years. I lived in pain daily without knowing I could qualify for VA Disability Benefits. Nobody cares for or has the resources for vets that VACI has, which is why I chose this entity as my home.
I did not like the direction my life was heading and wanted to serve something bigger than myself, which is what led me to enlist in the Army. I went into the service when I was 22 and spent my 23rd birthday in basic training at Fort Sill in Oklahoma. I was subsequently stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio and Fort Lewis in Washington.
One of the biggest inspirations from my time in the service was the people I served with. I had never worked with such a close-knit and dedicated group of people. People often talk about doing life together, but that was truly living it out day-to-day.
I am currently 70% disabled, with several claims still pending. I don't intend to stop until I reach the 100% mark, which is a goal for 2023.
